VERRERIE DE LEUNE - AUGUSTE HEILIGENSTEIN - Vase Bleue - c. 1926
Vase Bleu with geometric, abstract (African, Aztec…) exotic design by Auguste Heiligenstein
(1891-1976) for Verrerie de Leune (1861-1931). Before the First World War, Leune produced romantic vases with landscape
designs. From 1923 to 1926 they worked together with Auguste Heiligenstein, who revolutionised the design.
Due to financial crisis Leune had to close in 1929. Heiligenstein worked for Legras, Baccarat, Daum and Marcel Goupy.
