ARTVER – Paul Heller – Vase Tulip – c. 1935
Vase Tulip, designed by Paul Heller (1914-1995) for Artver, which was the art trade of Booms glas in Belgium. The Boom glass factory 'De Rupel' produced decorative glass from 1923 to 1982. The best known is the black Boom glass, decorated with gold or flowers as the opaline glass, the 'Artver' glass and the cut crystal glass, was of a renowned quality and was exported worldwide. In the early 1960s, this glass factory had its absolute heyday with 400 employees but fell into decline due to competition from machine-made glass.
